Boxstorm is an online inventory management solution that enables organizations to manage inventory on any device, from any location. It is available in four versions, the first of which, Boxstorm Forever Free, is the first no-cost cloud-based solution that offers a QuickBooks Online integration. The other versions provide the tools to manage sales orders, purchase orders, receiving, picking, and other essential aspects to get orders to efficiently flow in and out of warehouses.
Boxstorm enables organizations to track inventory across multiple locations, pinpointing items down to their aisle and bin number. Users can assign items to default or custom locations to optimize shipping and receiving operations. The sales module helps manage customers and sales orders with workflow options that enable users to move items from bid/quote status, to accepted and fulfilled. Tax rates and discounts can be assigned per customer, with flexible sales order line items.
Users can assign custom tracking values to the quantities of every item by scanning or typing them into the system. Inventory tracking can be date-based (best-by or expiration), or text-based (lot number or revision number). Users can set up automatic SMS and email notifications for alert and minimum levels, as well as use the auto order wizard for purchasing. Boxstorm enables users to use multiple units of measure when buying and selling, and makes sure all data is recorded properly for accurate inventory counts.
Item cost tracking features track the value of inventories to ensure users are up to date on the total value of their on-hand assets. Users can import/export various types of data in and out of Boxstorm, such as customers, vendors, items, locations, cycle counts, audit trails, and more. Organizations can manage employee access to modules and restrict users to certain roles and rights for security through permissions.
